Have you played with a social media posting app to make your life easier? Or do you think posting manually helps the algorithm?

I’m a new author. I have my second book coming out soon and I’ve been struggling with tiktok. This sounds helpful for sure! Thank you for the advice! I’ll be trying it out.

But TikTok is banned so I can’t download it 😭 I wonder could I use the same strategy with RUclips shorts🤔

I tried this and everything got stuck at 0 views. It said my content was not eligible for the fyp page due to community guidelines on challenges and civic and election integrity lol Not sure if you have any advice for what to do about that.

I started posting the photo swipe videos on a couple burner accounts in December, and they immediately started doing well lol. Literally my first video got 200K views. Now the book that was making ~$80 a day is making an average of $154 a day this month. 🥹 I hope this strategy works for other authors finding this video!

Is anyone else diversifying marketing to other networks in lieu of the TikTok drama with potentially getting shut down? Where are others seeing decent engagement? I’m thinking Instagram reels, maybe threads, maybe BlueSky? I’m trying to get longevity

Hi Katie, I've just started my journey on social media and wondered if you could give me a little technical advice. I'm posting on Instagram, TikTok, and RUclips. Is there a way to use the same music on the same post on each platform? Each platform seems to have its own audio library, and when I find just the right music, I'm not able to use it anywhere else. FAQ 1. Yes, you need a new email for each account 2. No, I don’t link to the book. Just put the name in the caption and people seek it out themselves 3. I mostly just post on these accounts, not engage with other posts. (But I do follow relevant accounts and engage at first to train the algorithm, and if views are down, I engage again for a bit) 4. I just post about all of my books on the accounts, no matter the genre, but separating based on genre isn’t a bad idea if you have a lot of books 5. I talk about Instagram reels and RUclips shorts at 24:48
